At Masterpiece Heirlooms, we specialize in engraving high quality glass and crystal products.  Each and every piece is engraved and finished by hand and personalized to each customer’s specifications.

Our glass engraving process is called sand carving. Also known as sand blasting, it is the method we use to delicately engrave our products. This method is widely regarded as the superior method of permanently engraving glass and is renowned for producing stunningly beautiful and detailed results. Sand carving is accomplished by directing a fine stream of abrasive material projected with compressed air, to permanently engrave glass, crystal and stone.  This process creates visible depth and incredible dimension.  Sand carving is still done, as it has been for over 100 years, completely by hand.

Our elegantly framed creations feature a broad selection of over 50 frame styles and 80 richly textured suede and linen mat colors – from classic to contemporary. With thousands of possible combinations, we are able to accommodate a wide variety of preferences.

Down to the last detail, all of our custom-framed products are finished with the finest materials:

• Frame Sealing Tape
  
  Acid-free, lignin-free buffered aluminum/paper tape.  Attached to the back of our frames, the layer of aluminum provides a barrier that stops acid migration from the frame to the mats, artwork and photographs and meets the standard for maximum preservation.
  
  
  
• Acid-Free Frame Backing Paper
  
  Artwork and photographs are protected from dust with conservation quality Perma/Dur® frame backing paper. The durable paper is buffered and offers long term protection from dust and damaging oils. The paper’s moderately porous surface allows the frame to breathe readily and contains no harmful acids that are commonly present in brown kraft backing paper.
  
  
  
• Stabilizing Bumpers
  
  Bumpon® feet are attached to each piece to help keep your frame from shifting and also protects your wall from scuffs.
  
  
  
• Deluxe wire hangers
  
  Our frames include very strong, nickel-plated hangers, and Tuflon® plastic coated stainless steel wire, designed to support over 40 pounds.  This wire will not stretch or rust over time, ensuring that your frame remains where it should be - securely hanging on your wall.
  
  
  
• Deluxe Wall Kit
  
  Each of our frames comes with a deluxe brass plated, double nail wall hanger.  Designed to support 50 pounds, it can be nailed directly into drywall without an anchor and will not tear through your wall or loosen over time.
